1.2m for sewers in Black Country
Severn Trent Water is spending 1.2m replacing or altering sewers in Walsall and Sandwell.

About 4km (2.5 miles) of sewers will be altered in Willenhall, Darlastan, Goscote, Streetly and Tividale.

A spokesman said there would be some disruption to traffic but it would be kept to a minimum as far as possible. The work will be finished by Christmas.

A Severn Trent spokesman said the work was necessary to prevent pipes collapsing, which could cause flooding.
