Hi-tech worshipping has been launched by the Diocese of Lichfield to allow its congregation to pray wherever they are in the world. Christians in Staffordshire, north Shropshire and Wolverhampton, and further afield, can now find the diocese's prayer diary on the internet.
The publication was previously only used by clergy or by those leading prayers in Sunday services.
Anyone using the online prayer diary will find events happening in the Diocese's churches as well as prayers for the worldwide Anglican Communion and the Christian church.
Canon Charles Taylor, who chairs the group responsible for compiling the prayer diary, said: "Jesus taught his disciples to pray not to 'My God' but to 'Our Father'.
"Whether we pray alone or in a local congregation, we are part of a great family of prayer.
"When we use the Prayer Diary in our daily, personal prayers or for intercessions in a church service, we share with many others in prayer for our fellow Christians at home and overseas, and for God's world."
