Jobs created at former colliery
Nearly 100 jobs are expected to be created at the site of a former South Yorkshire coal mine with the completion of eight new business units.

The units are the latest phase of the redevelopment of Dinnington colliery and most of them are already sold.

Local firms Woodhouse Upholstery and Hydro X are among the companies moving to Dinnington.

More than 12m is being spent at Dinnington as part of a programme to bring jobs to former mining areas.

Property company Priority Sites is building the business units in association with development agency Renaissance South Yorkshire (RSY).

Tony Kildare from RSY said: "The Dinnington project... is a flagship example of how the coalfield programme is both creating new opportunities and improving the physical landscape of the area."
