The order prohibits Mr Jowett from making excessive noise

Craig Jowett, 19, formerly of Coniston Road, Mexborough, has been served with a full ASBO by Doncaster magistrates' court.

It followed complaints of noise, banging, shouting, loud music and visits from large groups of youths.

The order prohibits him from making excessive noise, damaging property and using threatening behaviour.

Improving life

Environmental health officers had previously served three noise abatement notices on the teenager and seized noise-making equipment.

On one occasion, equipment was taken from Mr Jowett twice in one day.

Hilary Caunt, Doncaster Council's environmental health manager, said: "Many cases of anti-social behaviour include noise nuisance and this example highlights how we can stop it, improving life for all considerate residents throughout the borough."

Manager of Doncaster's ASBO team, Simon Riley said: "I am very pleased that Jowett, in accepting this ASBO, has taken the opportunity to both acknowledge and change his behaviour."

The two-year order could result in a prison sentence of up to five years if broken.
