A multi-million pound plan to build a casino next to Sheffield United has been unveiled. The club is teaming up with a Las Vegas-based company to build an eight storey hotel and casino next to the Bramall Lane ground.
The venture is expected to create about 1,500 jobs, and the plans are on show outside the club's South Stand.
Blades director Alan Bamford says the project will give the club much-needed financial stability.
Under the plans, the club will redevelop large areas of land in what is claimed to be one of the biggest regeneration projects in Sheffield.
Bill Weiner, president of the club's partner Las Vegas Sands Inc, has said that he wants to make the entertainment complex a "fun" place.
