Residents are worried the turbines will damage their health |
Residents living near the site of a proposed wind farm have set up an action group to challenge the scheme. More than 100 people have joined the Thorne District Wind Farm action group in Thorne, near Doncaster.
Members say plans for 28 turbines on Thorne Moors could be harmful to their health and would threaten wildlife.
But United Utilities, the company behind the plans, say there are strict guidelines on how close turbines can be built to homes.

And it added that it has consulted with English Nature about how to avoid harming birds and animals.
The plans for the wind farm were submitted to the government last week.
Members of the action group fear noise and a strobe light effect from blades could harm the health of those living near by.
They are holding a meeting on Monday night to discuss the plans.
