Camera plan to stop litter louts
Closed circuit television could be used to catch litter louts in Bath.

A Bath and North East Somerset Council review panel has suggested 60 ways of improving rubbish collection, recycling and street cleaning.

The local authority has already decided to use on-the-spot fines for people dropping litter, now it is being suggested cameras are used too.

Councillor Chris Watt told the BBC he thought it could prove very popular in his own ward of Midsomer Norton.

"Every effort we can make to clean up the mess and prevent the burden on the tax payer is worth taking," he said.
