Rooftop demonstraters questioned
Protesters on the court roof
The group had climbed North Somerset Magistrates' Court
A group of men dressed as superheroes have been questioned by police after ending their rooftop protest on Thursday morning.

The four men, from Fathers 4 Justice, climbed onto the roof of North Somerset Magistrates' Court in Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday morning.

They said they were supporting members appearing in court after protesting on Bristol's Suspension Bridge.

Although they were questioned, the men were not formally arrested.

The men in court were charged under the Public Order Act that their behaviour caused harassment, alarm or distress.

Magistrates were told how on 2 February Jason Hatch, 32, Patrick Lennon, 47, David Pyke, 48, all of Cheltenham and Mark Peacock, 31, of Bristol, climbed the bridge, a Grade 1 listed building.

The four accepted after their arrests that they had taken part in the demonstration, but they deny offences under the Public Order Act.

The case continues.
