Off-licences fail underage test
Half of Bath off-licences checked in a special covert operation sold alcohol to under-18s, police have revealed.

Teenage volunteers, accompanied by undercover police and trading standards officers, attempted to buy alcohol from 12 premises in the city.

Each offending shop was cautioned. When off-licences in Bath were last visited, all refused to serve underage drinkers.

Inspector Paul Mogg said: "It's disappointing that some of the off-licences tested failed."
