Book your train tickets for Glastonbury soon is the advice from the First Great Western train company. The company is running special services to cater for the 15,000 to 20,000 festival-goers expected to arrive this year by train.
Twelve additional services will run from London Paddington to Castle Cary, the closest station to the festival, starting on Wednesday 25 June and running through to Friday.
The festival runs from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June, and the gates open at 0900 BST on Wednesday.
Extra trains
A First Great Western spokesperson told BBC News Online: "We are providing as many extra trains as we can in conjunction with our other commitments.
"We are urging people to book in advance, otherwise we can't guarantee they will get on the train of their choice."
A free shuttle bus between Castle Cary and the festival site is being laid on by the train company - but only on presentation of a valid festival pass.
There will also be 11 extra trains returning from the festival to Paddington on 29 and 30 June.
