Child airlifted from rugby pitch

A Shropshire schoolboy who was injured in a rugby match has been airlifted to hospital.

The 15-year-old, who goes to Bedstone College, Bucknell, told the ambulance service he was hurt during a scrum.

The boy was complaining of neck and back pain following the incident at the school on Wednesday.

He was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital after an air ambulance from Cosford landed on the rugby pitch.
