Road closure for BT cabling work
Part of a Shropshire road will be closed to traffic for seven days as work to install BT cabling is set to start early this week.

A 400m (1,312ft) section will be closed due to the narrow nature of Wheatcommon Lane, Richards Castle, the county council said.

The road will be shut from 0930 to 1530 BST to avoid peak travelling hours.

Enterprise Plc, carrying out the work on behalf of BT, has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

While this section of road is closed, traffic will be diverted north on the A49, north west onto the B4361 to Policeman's Corner, west at Policeman's Corner continuing on the B4361, south to Batchcott, east along Wheatcommon Lane and vice versa.

Access will be maintained throughout the work for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted horse riders.
