A disused railway station in Shropshire which was turned into a visitor centre has won a prestigious heritage award. The Oswestry Station Building, which is now known as the Cambrian Visitor Centre, has undergone a 2.1m restoration programme in recent years.
The initiative won a joint partnership award from the National Railway Heritage Trust.
Oswestry Borough Council, which led the restoration, said it was "absolutely delighted" with the recognition.
