Tourist ideas for rail line site
A new tourist attraction could be created in Shropshire if the county council is successful in an effort to buy eight miles of disused railway.

It hopes to find a partner to run a heritage railway on part of the line near Oswestry.

The section of the Cambrian Branch Railway Line starts near Gobowen and goes via Oswestry to Porth-y-waen bridge.

The council said the move could bring in projects such as a cycle route.
