8442A series of open sessions is being held in Telford to encourage people to report incidents of hate crime. West Mercia Police's hate crime unit will host the monthly meetings aimed at providing a relaxed and neutral setting away from a police station.
Officers hope people will feel more comfortable there when reporting crimes of hate - such as attacks which are racist or homophobic.
The police are anxious for both victims and witnesses to come forward.
Sessions will be held in Leegomery, Hadley and Dawley at lunchtime, early and late evening on the last Thursday of every month.
