A month-long festival will be held in Shropshire to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of one its most famous sons - Charles Darwin. The naturalist was born in Shrewsbury in 1809.
A number of events are planned in the town throughout the month of February to mark his birthday.
The highlights will be the world premiere of Darwin's Dream, a new work by composer Graham Treacher. It will be staged at the town's Music Hall.
The Music Hall will also be the venue for a series of lectures on Darwin, including one by Darwin expert Richard Dawkins.
Family events will also be held in Shrewsbury as well as nearby Ludlow and Craven Arms.
