Meeting over NHS trust's finances
Senior hospital managers from Shropshire faced with a multi-million-pound overspend are to meet Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt.

The chief executive of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, Tom Taylor, will attend the meeting at the House of Commons on Tuesday afternoon.

It has been organised by the Conservative MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham, Daniel Kawczynski.

Mr Taylor said he will be pushing the government for more resources.

The trust was formed in 2003 with the merger of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
