A ceremony is being held in Shropshire to light the torch for this year's Special Olympics. Much Wenlock was chosen for the ceremony because of its history as the site of a competition which inspired the modern Olympic movement.
The games, for competitors with learning disabilities, are due to take place in Glasgow in July.
The torch will be taken to the House of Commons and onto Scotland by a relay team of police officers.
The Special Olympics is a worldwide event and the UK version was founded in 1978.
