Canal reopens after bank collapse
British Waterways say water levels on the Shropshire Union Canal are back to normal after a section of embankment collapsed earlier this month.

The canal was closed off after a 40m breach on the Llangollen branch line.

The cost of repairs is estimated to be about 500,000 and is not expected to be completed before Easter.

British Waterways say contractors have been using pumps to restore the water levels on the canals and locks have been closed until now.
