New train station technology plan
Estimated arrival times could be transmitted directly from trains onto screens for passengers at two Shropshire railway stations.

Central Trains plans to install the new technology at Wellington and Telford.

Sensors on the tracks would work out the progress of trains whereas information about delays is currently relayed by staff on the phone.

New screens would be put up at the stations if the scheme is approved by the Strategic Rail Authority.

Central Trains cannot say at this stage when it would hope to implement the plans.
