Arson church reopens for worship
Fire damage at Holy Trinity Church, Little Dawley, Telford
The fire was started deliberately
A Shropshire church which was gutted in an arson attack has reopened its doors to worshippers.

Holy Trinity Church in Little Dawley, Telford, was badly damaged last October in a fire that was so intense it melted the organ's pipes.

A service was held at the 160-year-old building on Sunday morning by Rev Stuart Deane.

The Bishop of Shrewsbury will re-dedicate the church in another service on Sunday evening.

Repairs to the roof, balcony and organ have still not begun.

But essential safety work has been completed which enabled the congregation to return.
