The commercial director of Telford United says he may quit after a "disappointing" attendance for a crucial cup match on Saturday night. Just 3,000 fans turned up at the goalless home leg of the club's FA Trophy match against Canvey Island.
The Bucks were saved from liquidation in a last-minute deal on Friday. The directors had said they needed at least 4,500 people through the turnstiles.
Robin Eaves praised the fans who turned up, but said more support was needed.
Wages deferred
The Telford United Independent Supporters Club estimated about �5,000 was raised through donations at Saturday's game.
The rescue package agreed on Friday involves the players deferring part of their wages.
There had been fears that the Conference club would fold after chairman Andy Shaw's Staffordshire-based business Miras went into receivership.
He helped to bankroll the �12m redevelopment of Telford's New Bucks Head ground.
