Flying farmer could be grounded
A Shropshire farmer who runs the only flying school for model aircraft in the region could find his whole fleet grounded for good.

Officials at Bridgnorth District Council have recommended that the flying school at Hurst Farm at Morville, near Bridgnorth, should be shut because it is disturbing local residents.

The farm has been hosting model aircraft flying classes since last summer.

But a number of residents have complained to the council about noise levels.

The owner has now been forced to apply for planning permission and the application has split the local community.

Nineteen people objected to the plans, saying the noise spoiled the tranquillity of the countryside, while another 19 wrote to the council backing the business.

A final decision on whether to ground the fleet will be taken by councillors on Monday night.
