Sporty makeover for school dinners
One of Shropshire's top chefs is going back to school to give children's meals a sporting boost.

Shaun Hill, owner of Ludlow's award-winning Merchant House, will be guest chef at the town's St Laurence CE Primary School on Thursday.

Mr Hill, whose restaurant has been rated in the top 20 in the world, will be taking to the school's canteen as part of the 10th National School Meals Week.

This year the campaign is championing sport as a way to promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle in youngsters.

Mr Hill will be cooking up filled pancakes for dessert as part of a special School Sport and Playground Games menu.

The county council's catering and cleaning unit, Shire Services is organising the activities in Shropshire and Worcester.

These include the chance for pupils to win a 100 sports voucher and a class prize of a professional coaching session in one of five sports.
