Six questioned over pirated goods
Six people have been questioned by the police after 35,000 worth of counterfeit CDs, DVDs and mobile phone covers were seized from a car boot sale near Bridgnorth.

The six are understood to be from the West Midlands and were arrested at the sale in Worfield on Saturday.

The raid was part of a crackdown on the sale of pirated goods by police and trading standards.

Steve Henshaw, from Shropshire County Council's trading standards department, warned people not to be fooled by the apparent bargains.

"The quality of some of these DVDs is very bad, lots of them are blank," he said.

"The other problem is a lot of the individuals involved in this sort of thing are linked to other crimes - drugs, burglaries etc, etc.

"So in buying these bargain DVDs for 3 you are actually buying into crime and feeding into a lot of social problems in the area."
