Oxfordshire 'has fewest potholes'

Oxfordshire has been named as the county where vehicles are least likely to be damaged by potholes in the road.

Potholes are causing more than a £1m worth of damage every day to vehicles and endangering lives, according to a report by the insurance industry.

Warranty Direct revealed that potholes in the county caused damage to just 4% of vehicles compared to 14% in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Motoring organisations say part of the problem is extreme weather conditions.
