Roof demo at asylum centre over
Police at Campsfield House
The man climbed onto the roof of the centre on Monday morning
A detainee who climbed onto the roof of an immigration centre in protest at being held there has ended his demonstration peacefully.

Thames Valley Police were called to Campsfield House detention centre in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, on Monday and spent three hours talking the man down.

It is believed the 34-year-old is from Somalia, but the exact details of his asylum case are not known.

GEO Group, which runs the centre, said the protest ended without intervention.
