The impressionist will drop in on a Mad Hatter's Tea Party organised to mark Faringdon becoming a Fairtrade Town.

The party is one of many events being held as part of a Fairtrade fortnight from 1 to 14 March, marking the 10th birthday of the Fairtrade mark.

The consumer label guarantees producers in developing countries a fair deal as well as high quality products.

The fancy dress tea party is being held at Faringdon Folly from 1600 GMT on Wednesday.

Faringdon, which has become the 30th town in the country to be awarded the status, is also thought to be first in the South East.
