Oxford is fighting off stiff competition in the race to win a top loo prize. Four of the city's public conveniences have been commended and awarded stars in the annual national "Loo of the Year" awards.
Diamond Place and Gloucester Green gained four star recognition for their cleanliness, management, customer care, accessibility, signage, equipment and d�cor.
Both loos have now qualified for the national final of the competition.
While Oxpens and Bury Knowles Park just missed out, but picked up a respectable three stars.
More than 1,000 toilets were entered for this year's loo prize.
Last week, designers from the London Borough of Havering asked to visit the city to study Diamond Place and Bury Knowles' facilities.
The awards are recognised as setting high standards for public washroom management.
