Recycling has been such a success in Oxfordshire, targets for the next year have been increased. The county council now aims to recycle 22% of household rubbish by April 2004.
To boost the recycling of materials, centres at Redbridge near Oxford, Bicester and Abingdon will now be able to recycle glass from windscreens windows.
This type of glass needs to be recycled separately from ordinary bottles and jars.
