Club groundshare scheme abandoned
Meadow Lane
The club said it needed to prepare for the new season
Notts County Football Club has announced it has withdrawn from discussions for a permanent groundshare with Nottingham Rugby Football Club.

The club said it would honour the agreement for the Green and Whites to play their first five home fixtures at Meadow Lane.

The rugby club said it was disappointed but hoped dialogue with Notts County would continue.

The rugby club has been searching for a home since selling its ground in 2004.

A statement from Notts County said that despite three months of discussions no agreement had been reached and the club needed to prepare for the new season.
