Evicted council tenant given Asbo
A Nottinghamshire woman evicted from a council house following allegations of fighting and verbal abuse has been given an Asbo.

A judge heard 22 allegations of anti-social behaviour against Sharon Dennington, 29, of Bilborough Road, Mansfield, dating from August 2005.

If the former tenant breaks the two-year Asbo she could face jail.

Ms Dennington was evicted by Mansfield District Council in December 2005 after neighbours' complaints.

'No option'

Allegations against Ms Dennington included throwing wild parties, fighting in the street dressed only in her underwear and abuse and threats against other residents.

The Asbo prevents Ms Dennington from acting in a manner which is likely to cause nuisance, alarm or distress anywhere in the Mansfield district.

She is also banned from threatening and being violent towards council staff.

Councillor Andre Camilleri said: "After the eviction, we sincerely hoped that we would not have any more dealings with Ms Dennington but her anti-social behaviour has continued and we were left with no option other than to apply for an Asbo."
