Club closed over young drinkers
A Nottingham nightclub was closed down due to its reputation for attracting underage drinkers, it has emerged.

The Works was one of the largest nightclubs in the country with a capacity of up to 2,300 but was plagued by incidents of illegal activity.

Magistrates revoked its licence in September but court action meant it did not close its doors until December.

Owners The Nightclub Company said they regretted recent events which had blemished the venue's reputation.

Police believed the club was too big to be managed properly.

It is still unclear what will become of the venue.
