Police move against noisy youths
A police crackdown on anti-social behaviour has targeted around 150 youths in a Nottinghamshire park.

Officers confiscated alcohol and escorted some people home from the Racecourse Recreation Ground during an operation in Mansfield.

Operation Absolute Zero has seen police and council officers join forces following complaints from residents about noise and intimidation.

The gatherings have been linked to damage put at more than �10,000.

Police took the names and addresses of most of the youths who had gathered there and said their parents and guardians will be sent letters. Three youths were escorted home and given warnings.

Police said further operations would be carried out in the future.
