Zoe was the second body found at the warehouse |
A second murdered woman discovered at a derelict warehouse in Nottingham was a missing homeless person, police said. Zoe Pennick, 26, had not been seen for six weeks.
Nottinghamshire police have started a double murder inquiry after the discovery of her body and that of 18-year-old Katie Baxter.
Their bodies were both found in a warehouse on Great Northern Close in the past week. Police are continuing to search the area for evidence.
'Lovely girl'
Zoe, originally from Derby, disappeared on New Year's Eve, just two days after Katie went missing from her home.
 | We are devastated by the death of our daughter |
Katie had been missing since 29 December.
Further tests are being carried out to establish the cause of Ms Pennick's death.
Her family said in a statement: "We are devastated by the death of our daughter and the last few days have been agonising for us.
"We can't believe she is gone.
"She was a delightful, loving girl who always made us laugh."
Forensic teams searched the former packing house, known as the Great Northern Warehouse, which is surrounded by wasteland.
Police believe the building was frequently used by drug addicts as well as homeless people looking for shelter.
