Hundreds attended a vigil for Danielle Beccan |
A campaign to get more guns off Nottingham's streets has been launched. The amnesty, which carries the slogan, "Not in Nottingham. Not in MY City", comes weeks after the death of the St Ann's teenager Danielle Beccan.
Weapons can be handed in at Oxclose Lane, Radford Road, The Meadows and Central police stations over the next two weeks.
Danielle's former headteacher, Valerie Penny-Stewart attended the launch in the Old Market Square.

Ms Penny-Stewart said: "We want to take forward the agenda from that day in the Market Square when we stood together.
"And now we have got to stand together against something bigger by taking part in this amnesty.
"We have got to stick together like never before to demand the right to a peaceful and gun free society."
Hundreds gathered to remember Danielle and protest about gun crime in the Old Market Square on 22 October.
The amnesty is also being backed by boxer Carl Froch and footballer Des Walker.
A amnesty in April led to more than 600 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition being handed in to Nottinghamshire police.
