Squads clean up litter hot spots
Clean-up squads in a Nottinghamshire town are tackling 30 litter and vandalism hotspots.

It is part of a 90,000 campaign in which council staff and private contractors will target Mansfield's so- called 'Dirty Thirty'.

Over the next two weeks a specialist firm will be brought in to remove graffiti while others will collect drugs equipment.

Around 30 new litter bins will also be installed in the town.

Mansfield District Council said where privately owned land is cleared, it will name and shame companies which fail to keep their premises in good order.
