There are 15 trams to be named
Nine of Nottingham's new trams are to be officially named at a special ceremony in the city on Thursday.

Salvation Army founder William Booth, poet Lord Byron and bare-knuckle fighter Bendigo Thompson are just three famous names which will be used.

The names will be shown on the side of the driver's cab, with notices inside explaining their meaning to passengers.

The names were chosen by various methods in conjunction with local media outlets, including the BBC, Nottingham Evening Post and Trent FM.
