 Part of the forest is up for sale in the name of conservation |
People around the world have been buying parts of Sherwood Forest which are being sold on the internet. A Nottinghamshire family bought King's Wood, in King's Clipstone, and has so far sold 600 plots, with most changing hands through auction website e-bay.
Each plot measures a square foot and costs around �20, with profits put back into conservation work.
James Mallett, who is behind the scheme, says buyers lease the land for 1,000 years.
