Affordable nursery officially opened
A Nottinghamshire nursery school which aims to provide affordable childcare was being officially opened on Tuesday.

Sunny Days at Kirkby in Ashfield has been partly funded by the Government's Sure Start programme which provides support for parents.

The nursery which is registered with OFSTED provides 26 places for babies and children.

Limited facilities had opened in October 2003, but now all the building work has been completed.

Families will be celebrating the completion of building work with a puppet show and a pancake race.

Prices are designed to be affordable to help parents who want to return to work or access education or training opportunities.
