Legal threat to Post Office plan
A community group is considering taking the Post Office to court over its plans to close eight of a town's 22 post offices.

The group in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, has collected more than 6,000 names on a petition.

The Post Office has confirmed that the eight branches are to close in April this year.

The Community Forum in Mansfield is asking local MPs to get the decision overturned.

The organisers of the petition say they have the support of local residents, local MPs and members of Postwatch.

The Post Office is also closing seven branches in nearby Ashfield, Gedling and Sherwood.
