Communities across Northants are set to benefit from more than �50m in extra investment for major building projects. The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister funding includes �25m for the West Northants Development Corporation to help regenerate its area.
Grants of �9m will go to Corby and �5m will go to Kettering to improve their town centres.
Wellingborough is to get �1.5m to improve the High Street area and �6m is going to help create jobs in Northants.
There is also a �3m grant for green-space projects. and environmental improvements in Raunds and Irthlingborough are to be funded with a �750,000 grant.
