The proposals would transform Corby town centre |
People who live in Corby are being asked for their views on plans for a major makeover for the town centre. An exhibition started on Monday on a project for the Parkland Gateway which covers an area over the existing shopping centre and Hazel Wood.
Plans include a one-stop shop for local services, a library, a campus for Tresham College and a swimming pool.
Urban regeneration company Catalyst Corby is wokring on the Parkland Gateway project.
As well as a new civic hub, proposals include an arts centre, cafes, restaurants, homes, a new town square and transformation of the parkland.
Leaflets outlining the proposals will be delivered to all homes and businesses in the borough and an exhibition about the proposals which opened at the Willows Arts Centre on Monday and will run until 12 February.
Any comments need to be with the council by 28 February.
