Daventry District Council has agreed a deal with Ashford Developments to create up to 45,000sq ft of shopping space at Daventry Town Centre Vision.

The project, which costs about �12m, will provide retail space for DIY, furniture and carpet stores.

Construction work on the development is expected to start by the end of 2006, with the shops opening by late 2007.
