The RSPCA hope to rehome all 280 animals seized by their officers after they were found at a smallholding.

The animals were put up for adoption at Block Fen in Wimblington, Cambs, and would-be owners travelled there from all over the east, south and London.

New owners will have to pay a minimum donation of 100 which covers the cost of neutering and vaccination.

Among many pets seized from a squalid house near Cromer last week were 48 cats, 80 rabbits and 86 guinea pigs.

The cats are being re-homed by the Cats Protection League and the RSPCA is working with local charities to re-house the other animals.

The centre has been inundated all weekend with visitors keen to see the animals that still have to find homes.
