Thousands of revellers at an illegal rave near Swaffham are causing noise problems for nearby residents. Norfolk police say the music has been going on since late on Saturday night and they have received complaints from the public and sympathise with them.
The rave is in woodland at Cockley Cley but Norfolk Police say it is so large they can only monitor the event.
It is the second such event over this bank holiday weekend - one ended at Whitlingham Broad, Norwich, on Sunday.
Preventing risk to public safety
Rodney Small who lives in Ash Hill eight miles away from where the rave was still happening on Monday lunchtime said: "I can hear it from here I hate to think what it is like for people living close by."
Police spokesman Simon Morgan said: "Norfolk Constabulary has every sympathy for the small number of local people who have complained about noise levels.
"We attended this incident to prevent any criminal offence from taking place and to ensure there was no escalation of conflict or risk to public safety.
"We take these incidents extremely seriously but we have a duty to be proportionate and reasonable in what we do."
Officers will monitor the event until it concludes.
