 Queen Elizabeth Hospital at King's Lynn has a new chief executive |
Financial recovery is a the most pressing priority for the new chief executive at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in King's Lynn. Newly appointed Ruth May is an advisor to the Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambs Strategic Health Authority and is already working on the hospital's plan.
In her new role from 1 October she will work alongside interim chief executive Jane Herbert until mid-November.
Mrs May has a nursing background and joined the NHS in 1985.

Her previous roles include day surgery manager at both Frimley Park and St Albans and Hemel Hempstead Hospitals and was most recently deputy chief executive at Havering Primary Care Trust. "I am very much looking forward to becoming the chief executive at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital," said Mrs May.
"I have been supporting the executive team over the last six weeks and I am very impressed by the excellent standards exhibited by all the staff I have met.
"My initial responsibility will be to ensure that the Trust gets back to a stable financial basis.
"I am also looking forward to working with staff to further develop and modernise our services that we need to provide to our patients across West Norfolk."
