Nurses boost for hospital trust
Up to 46 nurses are to join the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust next month after graduating from the nearby University of East Anglia.

Eight are children's nurses, with the university's School of Nursing and Midwifery one of the few in the UK to offer paediatric nurse training.

There will be 24 nurses joining the hospital's medical division, and 14 to be employed in the surgical division.

Christine Baxter from the hospital said they liked to recruit locally.

"I think people want to stay and work locally," she said.

"Overall, our turnover is very low and that's because people want to stay in the area, so I think it's very important to train locally and keep nurses locally as well."

Last week the hospital announced it was recruiting 16 midwives - also from the university.
