Jim Davidson ran the pier at Great Yarmouth |
A woman has lost her damages case against comedian Jim Davidson after claiming she was hurt in a fall at a pier complex which he was running. Mary Kyne, 52, alleged she was injured when she slipped on a patch of grass and tripped over uneven concrete at Wellington Pier in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
On Friday Mrs Kyne, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, who was deputy head teacher at a special school in Lowestoft, Suffolk, at the time of the accident, lost her case.
Norwich County Court heard she had to give up work two years after the fall.

She claimed compensation for personal injury and financial loss against Mr Davidson.
But Judge Patrick O'Brien dismissed her claim for damages.
The judge said she had failed to establish the cause of the accident and failed to prove that the pier was badly lit.
After the case Mr Davidson, 49, of Oakwood Hill, Surrey, said: "I feel completely vindicated. Justice has been done and seen to have been done."
Mr Davidson was leasing the complex in May 1999 when the accident happened, but no longer runs it.
