The Australian singer who will steer Liverpool's European Capital of Culture year is making the first visit to the city since she was appointed. Robyn Archer, who is also a writer and director, was given the job of artistic director of the festival back in April.
She has already directed festivals in Canberra and Adelaide, and is also a successful writer and director.
Ms Archer will be talking about her plans for the run up to the culture year in 2008.
Music and cabaret
In Australia, she made her name as a singer and actress in music theatre and cabaret.
Her show "A Star is Torn" ran in London for a year in the 1980s.
She is also the former artistic director of the National Festival of Australian Theatre in Canberra, and of the Adelaide Festival.
During her visit, Ms Archer will be meeting the people she will be working with including representatives from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the FACT centre and the Liverpool Playhouse.
